Georgia’s Under-18 national rugby team on Wednesday defeated France 20-19 in their first-ever appearance at the Men's Six Nations Under-18 Festival in Parma, Italy.
The junior Lelos lost the opening half of the game 19:10 with Levan Ezieshvili scoring a try and Davit Tsiklauri contributing with a penalty kick.
The Georgian squad recovered in the second half, with a penalty by Tsiklauri coming before a late converted try by Anri Shvelidze. Givi Sirbiladze ensured the eventual lead of 20:19 for the team.
Georgia are set to face England in the tournament on Sunday.
