The Georgian national team became the winner of the Europe Rugby Championship by defeating Portugal 36:10 in the final match in Paris on Sunday.
The team coached by Richard Cockerill won the Championship for the sixteenth time, while Tornike Jalaghonia was named the player of the match after the final hosted in Stade Jean-Bouin.
The win marks the seventh Rugby Europe title for the Lelos since 2018, and the first silverware for Cockerill after his appointment in January.
It also follows the victory for the Georgian squad over Portugal in last year’s competition, where they claimed the title in the game in Spain that ended 38:11.
