Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Thursday said comments from Masatsugu Asakawa, the President of the Asian Development Bank, on preparations for Tbilisi’s hosting of the 57th annual meeting of the Bank in May were “truly important”.
Khutsishvili’s comment came after Asakawa said on social media he had thanked the Minister for the “excellent” preparations and planning that were being put in place for the event.
The Bank President also said his meeting with Khutsishvili discussed approval of a new, five-year country partnership strategy. Asakawa said the Bank would support Georgia’s transition to a “green and inclusive regional gateway” between Asia and Europe, and the rest of the world.
