The strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan and cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Ramil Usubov, the Secretary of the Security Council of Azerbaijan.
The officials highlighted the importance of "stability and long-term peace" in the South Caucasus region, the Government Administration said.
The meeting focused on the “strong” strategic partnership between the countries and regional projects.
Kobakhidze thanked the Azerbaijani Government for its “unwavering support” for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and expressed his Government’s “strong” support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
