Two arrested for selling forged official documents

The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested two individuals for manufacture and sale of forged official documents, the body said on Thursday.

The Service said its investigation had found the offenders were “systematically manufacturing and selling” fake foreign driving licenses and ID cards.

It also revealed the offenders had been arrested during the sale of a foreign driving licence and ID card in exchange for €1,250.

The crime is punishable by between three and six years in prison.
