Georgian PM welcomed at Ankara airport in Turkey visit start

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili was on Thursday welcomed at Ankara's Esenboga International Airport in the official start of his visit to Turkey, the Government Administration said. 

Turkish officials and the Georgian Ambassador to the country welcomed the head of the Government, who is scheduled to meet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as part of the working trip.

 

Garibashvili will also visit the southeastern city of Antakya, affected by the devastating earthquake of February 6 that killed more than 42,000 people.

 

The Georgian delegation also includes Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Head of the State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili, the Head of the Government Administration Revaz Javelidze and the Head of the Emergency Management Service Teimuraz Mghebrishvili.
