Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday sent his “heartfelt” condolences to the people and Government of the Czech Republic following a deadly shooting in the capital city of Prague earlier during the day.
Garibashvili’s message followed the shooting where a student opened fire at a university, with officials saying at least 14 people were killed and more than 20 injured.

“Today's tragic Prague shooting deeply saddened us. My heartfelt condolences to the Prime Minister Petr Fiala, the Czech people, and the affected families. Wishing a prompt recovery to the injured. Together, we stand with the Czech Republic during this difficult time”, the PM said in a social media message.
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili also expressed his “deepest sympathies” to the families of the victims of the shooting, and sent his “most sincere” condolences to the Czech people and Government.
