A Georgian citizen illegally detained by the occupation forces in the occupied territory in central Georgia has been released, the State Security Service said on Tuesday.
Khvicha Korinteli has been released after the de facto authorities in the occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region illegally detained him in a location adjacent to the village of Adzvi Gori municipality last month.
The state body said it had used the hotline operated for information exchange along the occupation line and “all other mechanisms” at the disposal of the Government to ensure the release.
The Service said the Government and its international partners were “working actively” for the release of all Georgian citizens in the detention in the occupied territories.
