Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Wednesday discussed current ties and prospects for further strengthening the bilateral cooperation with Norway in a meeting with the country’s newly appointed Ambassador Bergljot Hovland.
The discussion at the Government's Tbilisi office also highlighted Norway’s role as one of the largest international donors in Georgia and its Government's “unwavering” support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Government press office said.
The head of the Government said he hoped the diplomat would help “promote the advancement of existing relations between the states to a qualitatively new level”.
The sides reviewed topics of strengthening ties in political cooperation, defence, security, education and culture, the press office added.
