Tourism potential of Georgia’s Black Sea region of Adjara was promoted at the Tashkent International Tourism Fair between Tuesday and Thursday, the Tourism Department of the locality said on Tuesday.
The fair saw representatives of the Department hold business meetings with tourism and marketing associations and met with the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.

In another meeting, prospects of increasing the frequency of flights between Uzbekistan and the Adjara regional capital Batumi were discussed between the airline managing company Scat and officials of Georgia’s Embassy in Uzbekistan.
Hosted in Tashkent, the Fair involved over 15,000 visitors and 300 representatives of the tourism sector from 30 countries.
The Administration also said media tours for journalists and travel companies from Uzbekistan would promote tourism attractions of Adjara in the country next year.
