Maritime Agency confirms death of 2 Georgian sailors in Greece

The Georgian Maritime Transport Agency on Saturday confirmed the death of two Georgian sailors in Greece.

One of the sailors died in hospital on November 2 after he got injured performing his duties at the Igoumenitsa Port, where the ship was undergoing repair works, the Agency told the Public Broadcaster.

The body also noted the second Georgian sailor had died on the same ship “as a result of an accident” on October 26.
