A “leading” company operating in Business Process Outsourcing will soon start operating in Georgia, Mikheil Khidureli, the Director of Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports, said on Wednesday at the BPO industry summit hosted in Tbilisi with the initiative of the body.
As a result of fruitful work of our agency, one of the world’s top five companies in the BPO sector will start operating in Georgia, which will be a great achievement for our country”, Khidureli noted.
While delivering his speech on the business sector environment in Georgia, Khidureli highlighted the favourable tax system, advantages of ease of doing business, “prompt decision-making processes” and a “stable environment” as opportunities for potential investors on the Georgian market.
Highlighting the importance of the BPO sector, Khidureli said it was an industry with “high salaries and great potential for growth”.
Up to 15 companies representing the sector from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Poland, India, Colombia and Switzerland were participating in the event.
They were able to engage in discussions with private and public sector representatives, business associations, international organisations and foreign companies operating in Georgia.
The event was hosted for the second time with the aim to promote Georgia as a leading investment destination.
