Hives CX, a British-based company will enter the Business Process Outsourcing market in Georgia by investing in IT services and software, Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports, said on Monday.

The agency said the development had taken place with its support, while Sherif Kamel, the Director of the company, said Georgia’s “economic achievements” and “human capital opportunities” were among the principal reasons behind the decision to invest in the BPO market in the country.

Kamel also mentioned the role of Enterprise Georgia’s support in doing business in the domestic market.

Unlike the United Kingdom, Poland and Egypt, the registration process in Georgia is quite simple. Also, it should be noted the BPO industry is a human capital and skill base industry. My decision was influenced by talented people living in Georgia and their skills”, Kamel noted after attending a BPO industry summit hosted in Tbilisi with the initiative of Enterprise Georgia on October 25.

Up to 15 companies representing the BPO sector from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Poland, India, Colombia and Switzerland featured in the summit.

They were able to engage in discussions with private and public sector representatives, business associations, international organisations and foreign companies operating in Georgia.
