The Georgian national football team on Sunday defeated Cyprus by 4:0 in the fourth round of the Euro 2024 qualification stage, held at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi.
The national team, coached by Willy Sagnol, won the match with Otar Kiteishvili, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Levan Shengelia and Georges Mikautadze scoring for the team in the second half of the game.
The result places the team fourth in the group behind Norway and ahead of the last-placed Cyprus, with Scotland leading with 15 points and followed by Spain with 12. Georgia has seven points, three less than Norway.
The Georgians will face Scotland on November 16 in Tbilisi and Spain on November 19 in an away game.
