The team from Georgia's Digital Governance Agency, a body operating under the Justice Ministry, is preparing to participate in the European Cyber Security Challenge, in which top cyber security specialists from around the world take part.

The Agency conducted an internal competition, which involved security challenges, crypto puzzles, reverse engineering and other tasks. Selected participants, aged 16 to 20, will present Georgia in the European Challenge for the first time this year. The European Union is the partner for the Georgian team’s participation in the competition.

Seven contestants from Georgia will have to solve security-related tasks and take part in cyber attack and defence simulations at the international competition, which will run in Norway between October 23 and October 27.

The cyber security competitions aim to encourage the involvement of young people in the field and discover talented cyber specialists.
