Aliyev’s Tbilisi visit last week marked his third arrival to Georgia since 2015, where he claimed Georgia was developing “steadily” under Garibashvili’s premiership.
He also commended the Georgian Government's “clear vision”, which he said had created an opportunity to implement “a number of” projects in the country to develop its economy, infrastructure and ensure “well-being” of the country’s population.
In his remarks, Garibashvili described Baku as a “strategic partner” and an “outstanding friend” of Georgia, and stressed the nations had been connected by “century-old brotherhood and friendship”.
He also said all three countries of the South Caucasus region - Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia - needed to solve their regional and development issues “by themselves”.
