Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili discussed opportunities for further deepening trade, economic, and tourism ties with Austria and possibilities for attracting more investments from the country at a meeting with Chancellor Karl Nehammer on Monday, the Government Administration announced.
Garibashvili noted the political relations between the two countries were at the "highest level", and added Georgia was a "very interesting place" for prospective investments.
We have had double-digit economic growth rate over the past two years. The year before the last one we had a 10.5 percent economic growth, while last year it was 10 percent, which enables us to implement more projects for our country and people", Garibashvili said.
The PM also highlighted Georgia's positions in different international rankings, highlighting the country’s selection as the seventh-best place for ease of doing business globally in the World Bank report and its position as being among the states with the least bureaucracy and fewest barriers.
"We always welcome Austrian companies and Austrian investors in Georgia", he pointed out.
