Georgia's progress in implementing the European Union’s conditions for granting the country the membership candidate status was discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Didier Reynders, the EU Commissioner for Justice.
The meeting focused on the reforms carried out by the Georgian authorities at the legislative and institutional level, the Georgian foreign office said.

The meeting also highlighted the strategy and action plan of the judicial reform, and noted “all procedures” were being carried out with the involvement of “relevant international institutions” and in consultation with them.
Consultations on European integration are underway in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi between the deputy ministers of foreign and European affairs of Georgia and the countries of the Western Balkans, the Georgian foreign office said on Tuesday.

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Dubravka Šuica, the Vice-President of the European Commission, on Tuesday discussed the country’s progress on fulfilling the 12 priorities outlined by the bloc to grant its candidate membership status to the country.
Cooperation between the Georgian Government and the Council of Europe, the situation in the Russian-occupied territories of the country and its European integration were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Marija Pejčinović Burić, the Secretary General of the CoE.
