Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday said his country’s “strategic partnership” with the United States was “strong” and “benefited” the interest of both nations after attending an official reception hosted by US President Joe Biden and his wife on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In his tweet the head of the Georgian Government also said he was “honoured” to attend the reception.
Garibashvili, who started his official meetings in New York on Monday, has been scheduled to address the UNGA session on Friday.
