Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Saturday sent his condolences to the people of Morocco in wake of the devastating earthquake that killed at least 1037 people.

In a message posted on social media, the head of the Georgian Government said Georgia “stand in solidarity” with Morocco in this “time of grief”.
A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.8 on Friday struck central Morocco, killing at least 1037 people. The epicentre was in the High Atlas Mountains, 71 km south-west of Marrakesh, at a depth of 18.5 km.
