One arrested for assault on cameraman in Georgia’s east

Georgia’s Special Investigation Service on Friday said it had arrested one individual for an assault on a Formula TV channel cameraman earlier this month in the eastern Kakheti region.
The body said the offender had been charged with assault and unlawful interference with professional media activities.
It also noted the individual interfered with the journalist’s work in the incident in Sagarejo municipality before attacking him.
He also prevented journalists of Rustavi 2 and Mtavari Arkhi channel from reporting from the site, the Service added.
