Georgian Wings will launch direct domestic flights between Tbilisi International Airport in the Georgian capital and the Black Sea resort city of Batumi later this month.
Geosky Airlines on Wednesday said its passenger division would operate 12 weekly flights to and from Batumi, carrying 70 passengers per flight between the locations.
The airline said it was choosing to prioritise domestic travel as its first destination due to “significant demand” in the tourist market, and provide daily flights with 55-minute duration.
The company said it would be the only airline offering direct flights between Tbilisi and Batumi, with the services set to launch on July 28.
