Georgian authorities identified 119 cases of illegal storage and transportation of excise-free tobacco products across the country in June, the Revenue Service said on Monday.
A total of 13,081 cigarette packages were seized throughout the country by professionals of the Tax Monitoring Department of the Service.
The state body also noted administrative offence protocols had been drawn up on 65 of the incidents, with case materials sent to court.
Three cases were sent to the Investigation Service of the Georgian Finance Ministry, with the remaining 51 cases classified as unidentified.
