Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili on Friday marked the 29th anniversary of the Georgian Special State Protection Service with messages of gratitude to current and former professionals of the agency.
In his social media post, the head of the Government hailed the agency’s “compliance with international standards” and its capabilities to “fully respond” to security challenges, along with “high professionalism” of its personnel and leadership.
The PM highlighted the agency had undertaken the “most important mission” to “serve the country's security” and “strengthen its statehood” over the past three decades since the restoration of its independence in the early 1990s.
Your work, which is full of responsibilities, also comes with high risks that require dedication along with professionalism”, the PM said, before paying tribute to those employees who died while performing their official duties.
Extending his gratitudes to the agency’s personnel and leadership for their “loyal service” to their country, the PM pledged his Government's “continuous support” to them.
