Journalists from Thrilist, Lonely Planet, Sourced Journeys, Matador and other international publications will highlight Gemo Fest, a food and drink festival that was hosted in the western Georgian city of Kutaisi over the weekend, the Georgian Tourism Administration said on Tuesday.
The Administration invited the outlets to the festival as part of its efforts to promote local destinations and events.
Yolanda Evans, who writes for Washington Post, Arch Digest, Food&Wine and other publications, said she was fascinated by Georgia, in comments on the press tour.
Your country is beautiful. People, nature, cuisine - this is a perfect synthesis. Your dishes are really unique”, she said.
In addition to Gemo Fest, the journalists also explored Georgian cities and visited tea plantations in the western Guria region.
