Georgian archer Davit Basiladze on Saturday became the champion of the 2023 European Youth Cup - second leg, held in Switzerland’s southwestern town of Sion.

The 13-year-old Georgian athlete defeated Italian Francesco Pernice in the final match of Recurve Under 18, claiming a gold medal for the first time at the tournament.

Sion hosted the second leg of the European Youth Cup from June 5 to June 10.
