Georgian PM, World Taekwondo President review cooperation

Promotion of Taekwondo in Georgia and abroad was discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Chungwon Choue, the World Taekwondo President. 

The meeting discussed successes of the Georgian national taekwondo team and steps to be taken in order to promote its further development, the Government Administration said. 

 

The officials focused on measures for raising the qualifications of Georgian coaches and referees, and developing the infrastructure for the sport in the country.

They also highlighted the importance of the assistance of the international federation for the sport, with Choue proposing an initiative to plan “important international events” in Georgia in the “near future”.
