Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, together with European leaders, on Thursday participated in the thematic discussion on Security, held in a round table format on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit.
The thematic discussion, co-chaired by British and Polish prime ministers Rishi Sunak and Mateusz Morawiecki, discussed the steps and efforts needed to ensure peace and stability in Europe.
The conversation touched on Georgia, with the country’s PM discussing the importance of granting Georgia the European Union membership candidate status and reviewing the security challenges in the region, the Government Administration said.
Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament, Karl Nehammer, the Chancellor of Austria, Gitanas Nausėda, the President of Lithuania and prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Sweden, Petr Fiala, Xavier Bettel, Ľudovít Ódor and Ulf Kristersson, as well as the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, were among participants of the discussion.
