The Georgian Government’s main task is to unite Georgia with peace, stability and the perspective of prosperity, the country’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Thursday in his press comments after the European Political Community Summit in Chișinău.

Garibashvili noted his Government was working hard to unify the country and ensure the deocupation of the Georgian territories in a “peaceful way”, stressing the importance of regaining the country’s uncontrolled border, being up to 300 kilometres.

Earlier today, the Head of the Government hailed the “peaceful” policy against the backdrop of challenges sparked by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict that was leading to the reunification of the country.

The PM featured at the Summit, which brought together 47 European leaders, discussing security and energy amid Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine. He also took part in panel discussions and is holding “high-level” bilateral meetings with European partners on the sidelines of the event.
