Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday discussed prospects for cooperation in transport, energy and logistics with Gautam Adani, an Indian businessman ranked as the wealthiest person in Asia and the third richest person in the world, at the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos.
The head of the Georgian Government introduced the businessman to his country’s “great potential and resources” in the sectors, with Adani expressing an interest in the business and economic opportunities offered by Georgia, the Government press office said.

With a net worth of $126.3 billion according to Forbes and $123 billion according to Bloomberg, Adani chairs the $21-billion revenue Adani Group, a multinational conglomerate with interests in ports, airports, power generation and transmission, green energy, edible oils, cement and real estate, among others.
In his recent comments, Adani revealed his plans to be the world's largest producer of green energy and pledged to invest up to $70 billion in renewable energy projects.
