Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday discussed his country’s maritime potential and resources available for development of its ports and free industrial zones with Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the Chairman of the Emirati-based logistics and port terminal operating company DP World.
In a meeting on the sidelines of the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos, the head of the Georgian Government invited the company head to Georgia for a closer introduction to the country’s business and economic environment.

Garibashvili also stressed Georgia was offering a “highly favourable and welcoming investment climate” to entrepreneurs, making it an “attractive destination for businesses seeking to establish or expand their operations”.

Employing more than 100,000 people, DP World’s revenue reached $10.7 billion in 2021.
