Chefs presenting cuisine from the western Georgian region of Samegrelo, adventure tourism events and children’s games will mark the country’s Independence Day in the city of Zugdidi on Friday.
The National Tourism Administration said visitors of Zugdidi Boulevard would find promotion of adventure tourist routes, a questionnaire on the visitor destinations, and a photo booth in the location.

GNTA Deputy Head Tamaz Iorashvili said exhibitions of cuisine, cognitive activities and other entertaining events would be hosted for locals and visitors of the city.

A cooking competition and a Megrelian street food market will be hosted for those flocking to the location, with “outstanding dishes” in “modernised form” set to represent the local cuisine, before an occasion with the national anthem and involving a large flag of Georgia.
The Administration is also hosting Independence Day celebrations in the eastern city of Telavi.
