Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Wednesday said the country’s “political and diplomatic support for Ukraine has been unequivocal”, noting the Georgian Government was “actively involved” with the international community in this regard.

Darchiashvili emphasised that the Government “has joined many supportive statements and resolutions” for Ukraine throughout the year, and pledged to continue to do so. “We have been working actively together with our international friends and partners to express our solidarity to our Ukrainian sisters and brothers through our diplomatic channels as much as possible”, he added.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili earlier today joined the resolution on the Register of Damage caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine, proposed at the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe.
