Georgian artists to perform in Europe Day show outside Presidential Palace in Tbilisi

A line-up of Georgian artists and bands will continue the annual Europe Day celebrations in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi today, with a show at the Presidential Palace set for Tuesday evening.

The President’s Administration said the Orbeliani Palace would involve performers in a range of musical genres, from the jazz band of Zura Ramishvili to the popular Sukhishvilebi National Ballet.

Pianist Giorgi Gigashvili and pop singer Salio will also be involved in the roster for the show set to start at 9pm local time, along with Nini Nutsubidze, Liza Kereselidze, Liza Kereselidze, Nato Kvaratskhelia, Nikala Zubiashvili and Data Munjishvili.

Irine Shengelia, the Advisor for the President’s Administration, said the date was marking the inauguration of the European Union in 1951, adding ”Georgia-EU relations have served freedom, democracy, human rights, and common values”.

“Our European integration is a significant process, and with this focus we celebrate the date”, she added.
