Georgia's seaside city of Batumi will host the International Conference of Rural Tourism and the General Assembly of European Rural Tourism, the Adjara regional Tourism Department said on Wednesday.
The event will bring together 150 tourism professionals from 10 different European nations to discuss rural tourism experience in Europe and Georgia between May 11-13.
Presentations, briefings, and seminars by invited Georgian and international professionals will be hosted at the conference, while participants will also be invited to introductory tours to visitor destinations throughout the region.
Sustainable rural tourism development, success stories in rural areas, intangible cultural heritage as a tourist product and adventure tourism in countryside locations are the themes for this year’s Conference.
