Georgian Deputy Economy Minister, Israeli Ambassador discuss cooperation in innovative ecosystems

Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili on Monday discussed prospects for deepening ties in innovative ecosystems at a meeting with Israeli Ambassador Hadas Meitzad, the Ministry of Economy announced. 

The state body said Israel was considering sharing its experience in the area with Georgian authorities to help startups in the country enter global markets.

Nadareishvili informed Meitzad about the ongoing reform for the development of the information technology ecosystem in Georgia, under which the Government was offering international IT companies “a number of tax and other types of benefits” in case of basing their operations in Georgia.

The meeting also discussed questions of deepening cooperation and sharing experience in attracting international businesses with local scientific technologies, the Ministry said.
