Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Tuesday congratulated Finland on joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, stressing the alliance has become “stronger and more united”, and Europe - “a safer place” with the country.
In his tweet, Papuashvili noted Georgia’s determination to cooperate “closely” on its NATO membership aspirations and on “advancing peace and security in the world”.

Finland has officially become the 31st member of the security alliance, after deciding to join NATO and ending the neutrality of the country amid the Russia-Ukraine war.
