Georgia’s national ice hockey team will play the Latvian club HK Tukums and hold training sessions in Spain in preparation for fixtures of its Group A of the World Championship next month.
The Georgian Ice Hockey Federation on Monday said the squad would play the Latvian club in two fixtures as part of its preparations in the country between April 2-13.
The team will then travel to Spain to train at the Pista de Hielo Madrid Palacio de Hielo rink in Madrid on April 15.
The venue is then set to host games of the tournament, where Georgia will compete against Iceland, Israel, Spain, Croatia and Australia between April 16-22.
