Georgia’s national ice hockey team defeated Israel with a score of 7:3 in the second match of Group A of the World Championship at the Pista de Hielo rink in Madrid.
With three goals and one assist by Ivan Karelin, along with one goal and one assist contributed by Artem Kurbatov, the Georgian team earned the win.
Nikita Bukiya and Oliver Obolgogiani also contributed with goals, with Karelin named as the best player from the Georgian squad.
The result follows the team’s 4-1 win over Iceland, with their next match of the Championship to come against the host country Spain on Wednesday.
Georgia will face Croatia and Australia in their remaining fixtures over the weekend, with the group stage running through Sunday.
