Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Tuesday congratulated Georgian citizens, who celebrate the Nowruz holiday, especially Azerbaijani compatriots marking the “arrival of spring”.
In her social media post, Zourabichvili wrote “I desire this day to become a new beginning, a source of new life, bringing renewed energy and calm relations”. She also congratulated the citizens of the neighbouring countries of Turkey, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, as well as all those celebrating the holiday.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili congratulated the Georgian people on New Year, wishing them happiness, health, and success and to meet the new 2023 with “unity and solidarity”.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday sent warm wishes to those celebrating the Nowruz holiday, in a message marking the celebration particularly for ethnic Azerbaijani citizens of Georgia.
Georgian officials on Sunday wished Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate Christmas on December 25, wishing them “health and prosperity”.
Georgian officials have sent their warm wishes to everyone but especially ethnic Azerbaijani citizens of Georgia who celebrate Novruz today. Novruz, an ancient holiday marking the beginning of spring, is inscribed in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
