The ongoing Qatar International Food Festival on Sunday hosted a Georgian Culinary Day to highlight the country’s cuisine and tourist potential.
The culinary show opened with the screening of a video promoting the tourist potential of the country, before chef Giorgi Alugishvili prepared Georgian dishes alongside his popular Qatari counterpart Aisha Al Tamimi.

Hosted in the Lusail Boulevard in Doha, the event offered visitors to taste food from different parts of Georgia, with the Georgian diaspora joined by guests from Qatar and abroad.
Hosted by the Embassy of Georgia in cooperation with the Qatar Tourism Council, the Culinary Day came as part of the programme for what is Qatar’s longest-running food and beverage festival.
This year’s QIFF edition will run through March 21.
