Wrestler Zurab Iakobishvili wins gold at 2022 European Championships [VIDEO]

Georgian freestyle wrestler Zurab Iakobishvili won a gold medal at the 2022 European Championships in Hungary’s capital Budapest on Tuesday.

Iakobishvili won the title in the 70 kg category with a 2-1 victory over Armenia’s Arman Andreasyan.

For Iakobishvili, the continental gold medal follows the 65 kg title earned in 2017.

Beka Bujiashvili (57kg)  and Vladimer Gamkrelidze (79kg), two other Georgian athletes who competed at this year’s European Championships, claimed bronze medals at the event.
