Georgia is among the top five countries that have qualified for the Men’s Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in the United States, the Georgian wrestling federation announced on Tuesday.
Georgia is the only country from Europe that has qualified for the event alongside the United States, Iran, Japan and Mongolia.
The Georgian federation noted the qualifying countries had been determined based upon the overall team results from the Senior World Championships events held earlier this year in Belgrade.
The World Cup event is set to run between December 10-11 in Coralville.
