Georgia’s freestyle wrestling team has won the European Cup of Nations by defeating Russia in the final series of the competition.
Held on 18-19 November in Bucharest, Romania, the final fight yesterday saw six Georgian freestyle wrestlers defeat their Russian competitors. Of the eight fights, Georgia won six of the challenges, resulting in a final score of 6-2 in Georgia's favour.

The wrestlers who gained victory were:
Beka Lomtadze (61kg) and Sandro Amiranashvili (86kg) placed second in their respective fights.
Before the final competition the Georgian team defeated Ukraine-5-3 and Romania 8-0.
Today Georgia’s Creco-Roman wrestling team will fight in the Bucharest competition.
