Ambassadors of EU member states agree to invite EU Commission to present opinion on Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova

COREPER II agreed to invite the EU Commission to present an opinion on each of the applications for EU membership submitted by Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, the French delegation to the European Council tweeted.

Coreper II is composed of each EU member states' permanent representatives. It is chaired by the permanent representative of the country holding the presidency of the General Affairs Council.
