The Georgian Government on Wednesday announced holiday schedules for civil servants across the country following the New Year’s Eve festive season.

Released on initiative of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the holiday calendar will grant time off work for those employed in civil agencies between January 3 and 6, with professionals expected back to offices starting January 9.

In addition to the first days of the new year, the extended holidays will include the Orthodox Christmas celebrations marked on January 7.

The holidays will not apply to financial obligations of entities supervised by the country’s National Bank and activities related to state procurements.
