Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday congratulated civil servants across the country on their professional day by calling their contribution “invaluable” and praising their service as a “driving force” of public institutions.

Garibashvili extended his gratitude to civil servants by noting their role in ensuring a “continuity of reforms” and building of institutions.

Despite the current events in the world, as a result of large-scale reforms carried out by our Government we are seeing significant progress in the building of democratic institutions, economic reconstruction, social and foreign policy directions”, Garibashvili said.

The head of the Government noted the necessity to ensure a “continuity of reforms, systematic and coordinated policy planning, assessment and analysis of resources and potential, and their effective use” for a continuous pursuit of the achievements.

Civil servants play a key role in these processes. The Georgian Government continues to reform the public administration and its most important part - the public service, which implies the establishment of European principles and the provision of institutional guarantees”, he concluded.
