November 2022: Tbilisi airport passenger traffic recovers by 108% on pre-pandemic figures

Passenger flow at Tbilisi International Airport recovered by 108 percent in November 2022 compared to pre-pandemic 2019 figures, TAV Georgia, the company operating two major airports in the country, said on Monday. 

In further details, the company said the airport had served 232,092 passengers in November, a 42 percent increase year-on-year.

Batumi International Airport in the country’s western Adjara region, also operated by TAV Georgia, served 34,153 passengers last month, marking a 15 percent increase compared to 2021 and a 30 percent increase on 2019 data. 

Other data published by the Georgian National Tourism Administration shows Georgia hosted 498,477 international travellers in October, a 125.9 percent year-on-year increase. 

The number of international traveller visits to Georgia recovered by 63.7 percent in October compared to the same month of the pre-pandemic 2019, the GNTA also said.
