Georgian ambassador to Ukraine Giorgi Zakarashvili, together with the heads of diplomatic missions of Ukraine’s partner countries, got acquainted with the “difficult” humanitarian situation on site in Ukraine’s Mykolaiv and de-occupied Kherson, the embassy of Georgia in Ukraine said on Thursday.

Within the framework of the visit, Zakarashvili also held meetings with representatives of the local authorities, where the Ukrainian side briefed the ambassador on the current situation of the districts affected by the Russia-Ukraine war, as well as the “urgent needs” of the locals.
During the meetings, Georgia's “firm and unwavering” support for Ukraine was emphasised. It was also noted that “active efforts” would continue both in terms of political and humanitarian aid.
