Georgia’s winter resorts will welcome visitors with new infrastructure and trained service personnel for the upcoming winter season, Georgia's mountain trails agency said on Tuesday.

New facilities have been unveiled in Gudauri and Goderdzi, while the agency also said special equipment of all resorts had been updated. Service personnel involving cable car operators, electricians, cashiers and lifeguards have been trained for improved service, it also added.

Visitors to Hatsvali and Tetnuldi - sports and recreational destinations in Svaneti region - will have an opportunity to enjoy a new ski track and ropeway, the body has revealed.

Infrastructure works are underway in Bakuriani ahead of next year’s international Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Championships, with two artificial reservoirs for the snowmaking system installed in the Didveli mountain area and the neighbouring village of Mitarbi, while six new tracks have also been prepared for the competition.
